These things just keep coming. I swear, every day I check my usual anime place and there’s a new series. I’m up to about seven, not counting this one.
So yeah, I really can’t say too much about this. The premise is interesting, what with an amnesiac ghost being the president of a paranormal investigation club. The art is pretty good, characters are likeable (although I could do without Niiya), but something seems off. It’s like the series doesn’t know what it wants to be.
You’ve got comedy, which would be pretty nice as far as I’m concerned, in the beginning. At first, it looks like a wacky not-quite-slapstick series with a paranormal bent. But then you see the beginning again and actually see Yuuko, the aforementioned ghost. It’s definitely more amusing this time around because of how she’s just screwing around. Then we get some pseudo-romance nonsense with our all-too-stereotypical protagonist ‘accidentally’ feeling up the ghost girl, which is accompanied with ‘artsy’ shots and coloration. Then it dips into drama, revealing that Yuuko is amnesiac and… Well, some other stuff I won’t spoil. Then it goes back to comedy/Yuuko screwing around.
It’s a pretty good show so far, but I never thought I’d watch something that seems like it’s going through some identity crisis. I’ll be sticking around to find out if this gets solved in the next few episodes, but… Man, I was really hoping for a comedy here. Or at least something that did away with the romance.
The Grass Feels Like Pants 
Yeah, Spring’s definitely stacked with good shows.
The whole repeated scene with Yuuko appears to be a double-edged move on their part, though I find it to be unique and for the most part amusing. The comedy gets better, but expect the romance alongside it. At the very least there’s no harem involved.
I expected the romance. Doesn’t mean I enjoyed it; but yeah, anything’s better than a harem.
And agreed about the repeated scene. It was cool, but I hope they don’t end up using it all the time.
There are two things I ddn’t like about the repeated scene:
a) That nobody was able to even remotely able to work two conversations at once (it’s not as hard as you think) and
b) You could already guess everything the ghost was doing, without actually having her in the scene. I was able to predict almost every line she was going to say correctly.
Overall, I have mixed feelings about the show. There are great visuals and some likeable characters, but as you said there seems to be an identity crisis. I think the main reason is that they spent about 18 of their 24 minutes just fooling around in their clubroom chatting. It would have been much more interesting to see Yuuko messing around with them throughout the day, in different rooms and situations. The art seems nice, and I’m still unsure of the direction this show wants to go, so I guess I’ll wait until episode 2 to make any hard judgements.
Anyways, that’s my two cents. Nice review, and good luck finding time for the spring season. There are a lot of great shows coming out.

And… yeah, now that you mention it, the repeated scene did seem like filler. Maybe having Yuuko sometimes be there/sometimes not be there would have worked better. Like, keep her out for the first half or so?
Not really that awesome yet but I hope something awesome will happen. The serious part have yet to be told maybe? I’ll see if the next 2 episode will do any good or not i’ll just drop this. I have like 14 shows to watch this season.
If it doesn’t get over the identity thing by the second episode, I’m just gonna drop it. Too many games to play to clutter up my time with subpar shows.
You are not the only one. I’ve completely stopped playing games due to having to watch like 14 shows this season. I’m planning to offload some as well.
